Unlike conventional routers which are managed by any computer, tablet or phone on your network, the Blue Stream Plumes can only be managed via the Plume Home app smartphone app. The app will run on your smartphone or tablet, but on a computer you would need an Android emulator.

Even though your DirecTV Stream app has On Demand, the On Demand content through a class of apps called "Watch with Cable" apps offers more content and a better On Demand experience for some of the individual channels. For example there is a very limited number of TCM (Turner Classic Movie) titles available through DirecTV, and those that I have tried to stream through DirecTV completely disabled fast forwarding or played the content on a channel that had commercials. The watchTCM app lists all the available movies and allows me to fast forward to a different starting point. The watch TCM app changes daily. New movies are added, old movies are removed.

Spanish - Pluto, Plex and ROKU apps offer a lot of free entertainment in Spanish to supplement the meager offerings from subscribed DirecTV package.
French Franophone
The streaming offerings in French on the DirecTV box are very limited. The SLING app on the DirecTV box is extremely out dated but it does offer at least the news in French.
