Here at Vista Royale more and more people are getting smartphones, but many of those smartphone users have never installed an app. Apps are one of the many things that make smartphones indispensable tools.
Mainstream smartphones and tablets come with the platform's app store preinstalled. Depending on the platform Apple, Android or Amazon Fire, and the vintage of your device your app store icon may look similar to the icons shown here. Many apps in the app store are offered for free, others need to be purchased from the app store, or require a subscription to use them. Free apps often contain ads or they have in-app sales. Apps uploaded to the major app stores have been scanned for malware and viruses and so have fewer issues than programs you might run into downloading software for a PC, but you should be vigilant in seeing what kind of permissions they require. There are millions of apps in the app stores. Some apps are extremely useful, others not worth the time it takes to install them. One of the best ways to find good apps is to get suggestions from friends. Because many apps have virtually the same name, make sure that you get the one with the matching icon. Mopria Print Service
by Mopria Alliance Mobile Printing is baked into most Android devices running Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later. If your Android doesn't have this service, the Mopria Print Service is a must have app. This app is available from the Google Play Store. The VR computer club has two Apple AirPrint / Android Mopria compliant printers. Printing from your mobile devices is available when you are connected to the ClubMembers WiFi network. On apps that allow printing. Print will be under the Share options. Note: Other apps or our desktop computers are better for printing pictures than the simple printing available from your mobile device.

WASH-Connect from wash.com
The Wash-Connect app allows you to pay for the use of the washer and dryer in our laundry rooms at Vista Royale. This app is much more convenient than loading funds to the laundry card at the clubhouse kiosks. Available from the Apple App Store and Google Play store. 
ZOOM Cloud Meeting
This Video conferencing app is for Zoom meetings and webinars like the ones put on by the Vista Royale Association. Available on Apple and Android platforms and available for Windows, Macs and Linux. |

GasBuddy tells you where the nearest gas stations are and which are the cheapest today.
