If you have saved records to your tree, and you let your subscription lapse, many of the images associated with those records will not be available to you. It is a best practice to save a copy of the image on your personal device.
To Save an image from an Ancestry Search,
Although Ancestry does give you a Print option, the resulting document will usually be too small to read. Follow the instructions below for best results.
To Print an image from Ancestry.
Tip: Ancestry always gives better results when working from a tree. If you do a public tree search for an ancestor with specific birth death information it will speed your search for records if you search from that tree.

- If there is a SAVE button in the upper right hand corner, select Save To Computer .
- If there is a WRENCH on the right sidebar, check for the Download option.
- If there is no save option, right click on the image and choose save as.

To Print an image from Ancestry.
- Follow the instructions above to save the image.
- Navigate to the saved file with your file explorer.
- Right click on the image.
- On the Windows 10 machines select PRINT from the menu. On the Windows 11 machines select Show more Options the select PRINT from the menu.
- Select the printer.
- Uncheck the Fit to page
- Click the Print button.

- If it is not a pre-cut article select either Entire Page or Portion of Page.
- Select the desired format a JPG (picture) or 1 page PDF (personal document file).
